North Sea shipping aims to achieve the highest standards of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment, incorporating the principles of sustainable development throughout its business. We are committed to provide a safe, healthy and secure working environment for all employees both on and offshore and are continuously working towards our goal to achieve no harm to people, assets or the environment.
HSEQ is our top priority and we never compromise on safety and our standards.
We believe that all accidents related to people, environment and assets can be prevented and have a commitment to zero harm. This commitment is expected from all personnel involved, from the top level and throughout the organization, including sub-contractors and suppliers. Most important is to ensure the right awareness and state of mind. We think that the management system and coaching does not automatically provide the right level of health, safety, quality and environmental performance on board our vessels. It is more a matter of individual responsibility and highly affected by collective and individual attitudes.
We focus on building such a Company culture and have set defined performance expectations to the management group and expect them to promote NSS safety goals, commitments and Company expectations at all vessel visits. Management is responsible and accountable for achieving excellence in Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental performance for successful business results.
North Sea Shipping operates in accordance to the Total Safety Management Concept, applying a wide variety of quality controls, in which the company’s quality assurance system, run in UNISEA marine software, plays a central role. North Sea Shipping AS is certified according to ISO 9001 (Quality standard), ISO 14001 (Environmental standard) and ISO 45001 (Occupational health and safety). We are also registered in Magnet JQS and Achilles.
