The company was founded in 1984 and  is owned by the Klepsvik and Økland families. The Headquarter is in modern facilities in a prime waterside location in Bakkasund, Austevoll where the business is focused on providing quality services through experienced, international personnel and first class assets.

North Sea Shipping is an integrated management company providing advanced Vessels and management services to the Oil, Gas and Energy industry.

Quality and an adherence to stringent standards define everything we do. Our vessels are operated and certified in accordance to ISM, ISPS, MLC, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 1400:2015. Emphasising optimal safety management, by experienced seamen that share our vision of delivering everyday excellence.

North Sea Shipping has built its reputation over more than three decades in the industry, successfully managing Construction, ROV/Survey, Seismic, Cable, IRM, and ocean going Fishing Vessels in demanding marine operations.

Today, our main focus centres upon Offshore Contruction vessels, IMR Vessels (inspection,  maintenance and repair ),  Seismic Ships, and Cable Lay vessel

Our standards are key to our success. North Sea Shipping operates in accordance to the Company Business Managment System (BMS), ensuring a broad and effective range of Safety,Security, quality and enviromental controls.

Our BMS is  operated  in UNISEA marine software  and is certied according to the  ISO 9001:2015/14001:2015 standards.  The BMS  plays a central role in maintaining the Companies high standard. .
